Some birthdays offer more than an opportunity to celebrate life; they invite us to honour a journey, appreciate a calling and thank God for the gift of another year.

Today, October 14, we celebrate Olanipekun Olukoyede, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and reflect on the values of integrity, humility, faith and courage that shape his journey.

Born in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Olukoyede has built a career marked by professional dedication and a strong sense of responsibility. Since his appointment as EFCC Chairman by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in October 2023, he has led an institution at the forefront of Nigeria’s fight against financial crimes and corruption — a responsibility that demands courage, sound judgment and an unwavering commitment to the rule of law.

Beyond the office and its demands is Pastor Ola Olukoyede, a man of integrity and honour who understands that leadership is not measured by the power one holds but by the difference one makes in the lives of others.

Positions may be temporary and titles may fade, but character endures. What ultimately matters is the courage to stand by one’s convictions, the humility to do what is right and the wisdom to place principle above personal interest.

As a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), serving at the City of Refuge, Lagos Province 12, Shasha, Lagos State, he embraces a spiritual calling rooted in compassion, guidance and devotion to God.

Today, therefore, is not only a day for celebration but also an opportunity for prayer. We pray that Almighty God will continue to order his steps, grant him wisdom in difficult moments, strengthen his resolve when challenges arise and give him peace amid the demands of public life.

May God preserve his health, protect his household and renew his strength for the responsibilities ahead. May He bless him with many more fruitful years filled with grace, fulfilment and the joy of seeing his efforts make a meaningful difference.

Pastor Ola, may your journey continue to reflect the enduring value of a life anchored in faith, guided by integrity and driven by purpose. May the legacy you build be measured not merely by the office you occupy but by the principles you uphold and the positive impact you leave behind.

    Happy birthday, Pastor Ola Olukoyede!

    A man of integrity.

A man of faith and prayer.

A man of courage and conviction.

A life of purpose, worthy of celebration.
